About this Interview

Taraneh Rahmanifar was attending Michigan State University at the time of the Iranian Revolution of 1978-9. She returned to Iran but found her options for higher education there had effectively vanished. She talks about returning to Michigan to resume her education and her career as an engineer at the Ford Motor Company. She also talks about her role in founding the Persia House of Michigan.
